# 👥 20ESPORTS – Community Gather Guide

B. `123.45.67.89:27015`. |
| **Termin** | Optionaler geplanter Termin. |

## 5. ✅ Ready-Up: Teilnahme bestätigen

# 👥 20ESPORTS – Community Gather Guide

*Organize community matches, find teammates, and play together.*

Welcome to **20ESPORTS**! With **Community Gather**, you can create your own match lobby or join an existing one. Unlike Quickplay, which automatically searches for a match, Community Gather lets you choose a specific lobby and meet up with other players.

## 🧭 Community Gather or Quickplay?

- **Community Gather:** Create a lobby or join an existing Gather. Once enough players have joined and everyone is ready, the teams can be formed.
- **Quickplay:** Select a game and format, then get matched automatically with other players.

## 1. 🔐 Sign in

You must be signed in to create a Gather, join one, or participate in a match.

## 2. 🎮 Create a Gather

Open **Community Gather** and choose the option to create a Gather. The available settings include:

| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
| **Rating** | **Ranked** affects rating/Elo; **Unranked** matches are played without Elo scoring. |
| **Title** | A name for your Gather, e.g. “Friday Night CS2”. |
| **Game** | Choose one of the games enabled in the system. |
| **Format** | Select 1v1, 2v2, 3v3, 4v4, 5v5, or 6v6, if supported for the selected game. |
| **External game server** | Optional when an internal server is available. If no suitable internal server is available, enter an external server address including its port, e.g. `123.45.67.89:27015`. |
| **Scheduled time** | Optional planned start time. |
| **Ready-up start** | Start the ready phase automatically when the Gather is full, or let the creator start it manually. |

When using an external server, players must use the same server address. Include the port and only use a server you are authorized to use and that supports the selected game.

Click **Create Gather**. You will be redirected to the Gather you just created.

## 3. 🔎 Join a Gather

The Gather overview lists available Community Gathers with details such as game, format, rating mode, and player count.

1. Choose a Gather that is still open.
2. Open its details.
3. Click **Join**.
4. Wait until enough players have joined.

The status and player count update on the page. You can also open an existing Gather to view its participants and current status.

## 4. 👥 Invite friends

The creator of a Community Gather can invite friends while the Gather is still open and has available slots. Invited friends can accept or decline the invitation. An invitation does not replace joining the Gather if that step is still required.

## 5. ✅ Ready-up: Confirm participation

Once the Gather is full, the ready phase starts automatically or the creator starts it manually, depending on the selected setting.

- During the active ready phase, click **I’m Ready**.
- The countdown and remaining time are displayed on the Gather page.
- Confirm before the timer expires so the Gather can proceed.

If you do not confirm in time, you may be marked as a no-show. Keep an eye on the timer and stay available.

## 6. ⚖️ Form the teams

Once all players are ready, the creator can start team formation. Community Gather offers two options:

- **Automatically balance teams:** The system uses Gather ratings to split players as evenly as possible between Team A and Team B.
- **Captain Pick:** Two captains take turns selecting players for their teams.

Team formation is only enabled when the Gather is full and every player has confirmed readiness.

## 7. 🎯 Play the match

After the teams are formed, the match is managed through the match page. Depending on the game and configuration, you will find team lineups, readiness status, server/match information, map veto, match chat, and the result section.

For games using an internal game server, the server is assigned through the server manager. If an external server was provided, that address is associated with the match; external servers are not started or stopped by GameAP.

**Important:** Map veto is only available when enabled for the selected game and when the map pool is compatible. Follow the instructions shown on the match page.

## 8. 📝 Submit and confirm the result

During a live match, the designated team captains submit the result for their side.

1. Open the **Result** section on the match page.
2. Enter Team A’s and Team B’s scores.
3. Click **Submit Result**.
4. The opposing side must submit its result as well.

If both submissions match, the match is completed. If they differ, the match enters a dispute state. The Gather creator or an admin can then decide which submitted result should be accepted.

## 9. 🏆 Rating, history, and rematches

In **Ranked** matches, a valid completed match can affect the game-specific Gather rating. **Unranked** matches do not apply Elo scoring. Gather leaderboards and Quickplay leaderboards are separate.

After completion, you can review the result and match history. Depending on the match status and available options, a rematch may also be requested.

## 💡 Tips

- Choose the correct game and format before creating a Gather.
- Check whether an internal game server is available. If not, provide a suitable external server address and port when needed.
- Be ready before the ready-up timer expires.
- Use match chat to coordinate with the other players.
- If the submitted score is incorrect, follow the dispute/admin process rather than continuing as if the result were final.
